SC1 Chair
This stacking chair is made in solid oak and could be used in both residential or commercial settings.
The frame components are made from 1 inch solid hardwood and for production can be either 3 axis cnc machined with one change in orientation or 5 axis cnc machined with no changes. Interlocking components are joined together using large bespoke biscuit-type joints, glue and dowels.
The curved seat and back components are made from pre-formed plywood with a corresponding veneer to the wooden frame. All fixings are hidden from front view.
The rear under-seat rail and the bottom front-leg-returns act both as structural components, holding the frame together and as stacking buffers holding the chairs in position when stacked.
