SB-005 Sideboard
The outer frame of this sideboard is made of a series of 20 x 20mm solid light oak pieces which are joined using mortise and tenon joints. The sides and feet of the unit are alternately left open to create a lightweight, see-through aesthetic while the areas touching the floor, the underside of the carcass and the top are filled to provide structural stability as well as a flat working surface.
The carcass and drawers can be made in either the corresponding hardwood or in a plywood with corresponding veneer. The drawer and door handles are made in 5 x 5mm antiqued bronze or brass.
